Festival checklist
First festival and still no idea what to take with you? Don't worry, here you'll find a list of everything you need to have a stress-free and unforgettable festival experience. Tested and refined by tried and tested festival goers.
Important basics that you should always have with you:
- Festival tickets or enough money to buy them on site
- Wallet with sufficient cash
- ID card and health insurance card
- Cell phone including charging cable and power bank
- Sufficient drinking water
- Hearing protection for dancing (e.g.: SCHALLWERK Music+)
- Fanny pack for valuables/ small bag: Please note - there are restrictions on the size of bags at every festival, so it's best to find out in advance!
Camping equipment and useful gadgets:
- Tent (a throw tent is particularly suitable for this)
- gazebo
- Sleeping bag or blanket
- Pillow
- Air mattress and sleeping mat as an additional sleeping pad
- Air pump
- Camping chairs and camping table
- Flashlight with batteries
- duct tape
- Pocket knife
- Hammer for pitching the tent
- Bin bags
- 3-way socket / cable reel
- Light / fairy lights with batteries
- Snap hooks and cable ties
- Padlock
Festival hygiene:
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Shower gel and shampoo
- Dry shampoo
- Hairbrush / comb and hair ties
- At least 3 towels
- Deodorant and perfume
- Handkerchiefs and toilet paper
- Disinfectant
- Sun cream
- Insect repellent spray
- Make-up utensils/ make-up remover wipes
- Shaver
- Feminine hygiene products
Festival pharmacy:
- Headache tablets
- Remedies for gastrointestinal complaints
- Magnesium
- First aid kit: plasters, bandages etc.
- Blister plaster
- After sun lotion for sunburn
- Personal medication
- Tick tweezers
- Condoms/pill
- Hearing protection: Music+ for partying and Sleep+ for sleeping
Festival food:
- Water and non-alcoholic drinks: essential in all situations at the festival!
- Camping stove
- Lighter or matches
- Can opener, bottle opener and corkscrew
- Pots and pans
- Cool box or cool bag
- Food for breakfast, lunch and dinner: Canned stews, bread or toast, salads, barbecue (if permitted)
- Healthy snacks: fruit, nuts, muesli bars
- Reusable camping crockery and cutlery
- Sponge, washing-up liquid and tea towel
Festival clothing:
- Pants / shorts both short and long
- Skirts / dresses
- T-shirts / sweaters
- Underwear and socks (better too much than too little)
- pyjamas
- Rain jacket and rubber boots
- Shoes (especially changeable shoes)
- Sandals / flip-flops / slippers
- Sunglasses and headgear
- Swimsuit
Festival entertainment:
- Camera
